The Sixth Form years are a transformative experience for many students as they offer the opportunity to develop independence and confidence, explore new ideas and make decisions that will help to shape the next steps. At Woldgate Sixth Form, we recognise the great privilege we have in supporting young people as they navigate these two important years and begin to create futures that reflect their ambitions and interests.

A key feature of our Sixth Form is our strong system of pastoral support and guidance which is available to all students and encourages them to achieve their full potential. When it comes to your future, we have a proven track record of supporting our students to achieve their future goals.

Our Sixth Form tutors are friendly, knowledgeable, caring and supportive. You will have regular, individualised mentoring meetings with your form tutor and the Sixth Form Care and Achievement Co-ordinator. There is always someone available to listen, advise and support you, and it is this level of care and interest from the Sixth Form pastoral team that makes Woldgate Sixth Form a very special place to study.

The transition from GCSE to Sixth Form study can be demanding, and we know how important it is that you have staff available to you to help you through any challenging times. Additionally, we want you to enjoy your time at Woldgate Sixth Form and feel fulfilled and rewarded by the investment you are making in your education and your future.

Whether you plan to go to university, enter employment, pursue an apprenticeship or further training, our team of Sixth Form staff will be able to advise you. We will offer you guidance with researching your future plans, as well as supporting you in your application and interview process for your chosen pathway.

Last year, 31% of our students progressed to Russell Group Universities, significantly above the national average, and many more went on to their first choice of university, training or employment.
