Woldgate School has again ranked third out of all secondary schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire Local Authority for Year 11 progress for the second year running with a Progress 8 score of +0.35 (above national average).
Within this headline our pupils achieved some notable highlights:
- Our pupils are top of the East Riding of Yorkshire for achieving grades 5 and above in both English and Maths
- More of our pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate at grades 5 and above than at any other school in the East Riding of Yorkshire
- Whilst our female pupils achieve very highly indeed, our male pupils have the highest results in all of York and the East Riding of Yorkshire
- Our pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds have achieved the highest results in all of York and the East Riding of Yorkshire
- Our pupils with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) have achieved far in excess of pupils nationally and regionally with a Progress 8 score of +0.52. This means that they have achieved half a grade better per subject than the national average of other pupils with the same prior attainment.
These results reflect our pupils’ hard work and focus and the high quality of teaching and support provided by school staff, parents and carers.
